Step 1: Download Kingo Root

Start up your pc and download Kingo Android Root. You can find the latest version by visiting their official website. It guarantees successful root without any brick for the compatible devices. Check here whether your device is compatible or not. If not don't worry, mine was also not in the list, but my device was successfully rooted.

Step 2: Connect your device with pc

Connect your android device with your personal computer using USB cable.

Step 3: Enable USB debugging

For jellybean:

Open settings. Select 'Developer Mode' and enable it. Click USB Debugging and it will be enabled.

For Kitkat:

Google has done well in hiding developer options.
1. In settings go to About submenu. In some devices the About submenu will be under “More”/”General” submenu. On some other devices (mostly HTC devices you will have to goto Settings> About> Software Information> More)
2.Now scroll to “Build Number” and tap it 7 times.
3. You will get a message that you are a developer now.
4. Enable USB debugging

Step 4: Install and open Kingo Root.

After connecting your device, open kingo root. You should see your device's name on the screen above root button.

Step 5: Gather some courage

This is the most important step in this process. Prepare yourself for the worst case scanerio. After gathering enough courage, proceed to the next step.

Step 6: Click on root button

Click on root button under your device's name. It will download some requisite files and your phone will reboot once on twice.

YOU HAVE SUCCESSFULLY ROOTED YOUR ANDROID DEVICE!!!!!

CAUTION:

1. Make sure that the connection between your device and pc is secure.
2. Don't change your decision after starting the rooting process.
3. Don't plug out the USB cable in between the process.
4. Don't close kingo root in between the process.

If you follow these instructions correctly, you can brag to your friends that now you own a rooted phone/tablet. Have fun!

How to change the Easter Egg in Android Device

Easter eggs are the animations which can be accessed by going to 'About Phone' menu found in settings and tapping on Android Version about 7-10 times. In jellybean it has a few beans scattered around and they can be flinged here and there. In kitkat there are some tiles which can be swaped.

In the latest version it has a lollipop which when tapped upon changes it color. When long-pressed, a game pops up which is a tribute to the viral game 'Flappy Bird' which was sadly removed by its developer from play store.

It is many a times used by your friends to check on which android version your device is, so all your efforts to customize your device can go in vain. But for rooted users, there's a xposed module named 'Eggster' which allows you to change your easter egg and fool your friends. To do it first of all install xposed framework. Then follow these steps-

Download and install 'Eggster' module

Downlaod and install the 'Eggster' module which can be either downloaded by searching 'Eggster' in the Download section of xposed installer or by click here.

Enable it

To enable it just check it in 'Modules' section of xposed installer and then rebooting. A soft reboot will do too.

Last step

Now go to the 'Eggster' app and then switch on whichever easter egg you want. Now off you go to brag in front of your friends.

All you need to know about Project ARA- Overview, Usefulness and Conclusion

The smartphone is one of the most empowering and intimate objects in our lives. Yet most of us have little say in how the device is made, what it does, and how it looks. And 5 billion of us don't have one. What if you could make thoughtful choices about exactly what your phone does, and use it as a creative canvas to tell your own story?
Introducing Project Ara.
Designed exclusively for 6 billion people.
These are the lines inscribed at Project Ara's official website

What is Project Ara? Overview

Project Ara is a development effort which can, and most probably will, change the future. Its a revolutionary idea to provide cutting edge technology at a cheap rate. It involves hand-crafting your own mobile phone that is tailor-made for your needs and tastes.

It all start with an endoskeleton or 'endo' for short and buy and put modules in it. The modules are quite diverse, ranging from Cameras, Screens to Batteries or more interesting water tester, or methane detector- possibilities are endless. Their aim is to make it cheap so as to make it affordable and available to the masses. At this instance, you might wonder that this can only satisfy their needs, not their tastes. To give them their personal touch or flavor, get user replaceable covers for modules called 'shells' which can be based on any theme and have any picture. The endo will be available in three different sizes- Mini, Medium and Large. All this makes the statement quite true - "Designed exclusively for 6 billion people". It is in Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects (ATAP) group.

Usefulness

Project Ara is very useful for everyone. Imagine you are on a traveling and don't need camera for a while, all you need to do is take out the camera module and replace it with a battery. The endo supports many battery module in one phone. Now you don't need a phone for good processor or camera but a good processor or camera for your phone. You can share a module in the family or amongst your friends and save money on buying high end phones for every one. Project Ara is now working with Phoneblocks, a similar idea. The launch date isn't much clear but the beauty is expected to arrive by end of 2015. With its prototype quite ready, this project is taking shape.

A new perspective: Employment

Project Ara provides job opportunities to everyone. Now anyone who has the will to develop modules or make shells can enroll himself/herself. All the details to become a module developer is available on its official website. All you need to do is download Module Development Kit, learn about it and start developing and selling modules.

After making of smartphones and developing of android, this could be the next drink the world is thirsty for. This is going to be a huge success and the time is not far that you will see an Ara phone in the hands of 6 billion people.
